Volleyball Recap: Nevada Extends Winning Streak to Five

Nevada waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Bolivar Liberators as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Nevada was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-21.

Leading Nevada to victory were Ashlyn Dean and Halle Hawks. Dean had 21 digs and two aces, while Hawks had eight digs and two aces. Dean has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Nevada's record now sits at 24-6-2. As for Bolivar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18-3 record this season.

Nevada does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bolivar, after both having extra time off, they and Hillcrest will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
