Volleyball Recap: Independence Triumphs

After losing to Goodpasture Christian the last time they met, Independence decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Elia Dinsmore paced Independence's offense, picking up ten kills. Dinsmore got some help from Raegan Burtch and her 11 assists. Lanie Yoon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Independence's record is now 3-1. As for Goodpasture Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Liberty Creek on the 23rd. As for Goodpasture Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Father Ryan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
