Basketball Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Comes Up Short

Upper Columbia Academy was the 62-45 winner over Columbia Adventist Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Upper Columbia Academy Lions took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Kodiaks are ranked 109th).

Upper Columbia Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Columbia Academy will challenge Freeman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Freeman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they will square off against Oakville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
