Volleyball Game Preview: Riverbank Bruins vs. Escalon Cougars

Riverbank is 0-3 against Escalon since March of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bruins are taking a road trip to square off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Riverbank is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Ripon Christian.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-4, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Escalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Orestimba, falling 3-0.

Escalon couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Orestimba a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 30-28.

Escalon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Riverbank, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Riverbank might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Escalon when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
