Basketball Recap: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Booker T. Washington Wildcats
Choctawhatchee lost against Booker T. Washington back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Choctawhatchee Indians had to suffer through a 71-37 loss at the hands of the Booker T. Washington Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Wildcats are ranked 21st).
Leading Booker T. Washington to victory were Chamiah Francis and Jada Clardy. Francis went 8 for 15 en route to 17 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards, while Clardy went 7 of 10 on her way to 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those eight assists gave Francis a new career-high. Nylah Brooks was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Choctawhatchee now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Booker T. Washington, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
