Football Game Preview: Darlington Tigers vs. Heard County Braves + How To Watch

The Darlington Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Heard County Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Darlington has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Heard County will come in with six straight wins.

Darlington managed to slip by Pepperell the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers took a blow against the Dragons last Friday, falling 48-21. The Tigers were down 34-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Heard County never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past Temple to the tune of 35-0. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Tigers are ranked 274th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Darlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Heard County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Darlington might still be hurting after the 48-27 defeat they got from Heard County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Braves' Ethan Tisdale, who rushed for 184 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 183 yards and one TD while completing 77.8% of his passes.
