Baseball Recap: Franklin's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Franklin came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-4 to the Slippery Rock Rockets. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Franklin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Turner, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Another was Drew Kockler, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Franklin fell to 4-1. As for Slippery Rock, their record is now 2-0.

Coming up, Franklin will head out on the road to face off against Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Slippery Rock, they will challenge Conneaut Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
