Basketball Recap: Elk Rapids Comes Up Short

Elk Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Francis Gladiators. The Elks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gladiators earlier this season, when they won 39-20.

Elk Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Elk Rapids will host Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will venture away from home to take on Petoskey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
