Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Lansing Lions
Ottawa lost against Lansing back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cyclones might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8.
Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up three kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her ten assists.
Ottawa's record now sits at 12-21. As for Lansing, they have been performing well recently as they've won 20 of their last 24 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, Ottawa and Lansing will both be playing Blue Valley Southwest the next time they take the court. The Cyclones will host the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
