Basketball Recap: North Brunswick Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

North Brunswick came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 35-20 win over the Heide Trask Titans on Tuesday. The Scorpions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

North Brunswick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ke'Ari Alston out in front who posted four points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Alston a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Adrianna Gomez, who had six points and eight boards.

North Brunswick's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Heide Trask, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

North Brunswick will look to defend their home court on Friday against Topsail at 6:00 p.m. Topsail is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for Heide Trask, they are taking a road trip to square off against East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
