Basketball Game Preview: Santa Fe Wildcats vs. Richland Raiders

Santa Fe is 0-10 against Richland since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Santa Fe Wildcats will welcome the Richland Raiders at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday, Santa Fe came up short against Cornersville and fell 47-38.

Meanwhile, Richland had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.6 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They snuck past the Vikings/Viqueens with a 50-46 victory. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Vikings/Viqueens are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Santa Fe's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-13. As for Richland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
