You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Southwestern Heights's strategy against Lyons on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Southwestern Heights Mustangs blew the Lyons Lions out of the water with a 48-12 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Layla Pearl Kisner, who shot 43% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Southwestern Heights' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juanita Puentes, who posted ten points and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Southwestern Heights and bumps their season record up to 17-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44 points. As for Lyons, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Looking ahead, Southwestern Heights will take on Beloit in a tournament on Tuesday. Beloit will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Southwestern Heights surely won't give up without a fight. Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
