The Harford Tech Cobras will square off against the Fallston Cougars on Monday. Harford Tech knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Fallston likes a good challenge.
Harford Tech is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Loch Raven get on the board and left with a 29-0 win. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Lily Peters made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Harford Tech got a massive performance out of Dyani Bryant, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Bryant a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Lyric Strong, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Harford Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .867. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fallston didn't have quite enough to beat Bohemia Manor on Tuesday and fell 6-5.
Ally Underwood spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Mary Pfaff made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex McDougall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Fallston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Harford Tech, their record now sits at 8-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Harford Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fallston struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Harford Tech suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Fallston when the teams last played back in April. Can the Cobras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
