Baseball Recap: Angola Comes Up Short

If Angola was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of West Noble on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets came up short against the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets on Friday, falling 8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 11-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Korbin Roan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Angola's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Angola will challenge Westview at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they will take on Wawasee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cadets are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
