Softball Recap: Milford Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Milford duked it out with Pinnacle on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jaidyn McMullin made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). McMullin was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Hadley Griffiths was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Kloee Dotson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Milford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Milford has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Pinnacle, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Milford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-11 loss against Delta on the 23rd. As for Pinnacle, they have also already played their next game, a 21-2 defeat against Panguitch on the 24th.
