Football Recap: Pomeroy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pomeroy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 66-34 defeat at the hands of the Wahkiakum Mules on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Pomeroy still got an impressive performance from Kyzer Herres, who rushed for 233 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Herres' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 169 rushing yards.

It was another big night for Jayden Stoddard, who rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 315 yards and five TDs for Wahkiakum. Stoddard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run. Cooper Carlson was Stoddard's top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 62 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Pomeroy's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Wahkiakum, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Pomeroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahkiakum, they will face off against Liberty Christian on Saturday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 9.1 points per game this season, so the Mules' offense will have their work cut out for them.
