Baseball Recap: Salinas Takes a Loss

Salinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Carmel Padres, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Padres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Tuesday.

Quentin Dominguez and Jordan Isla did some serious damage despite the final result: Dominguez scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Isla went 1-for-3 with one home run. Dominguez also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Salinas' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Carmel, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Salinas will head out to challenge Aptos at 12:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Carmel, they will be playing at home against Saint Francis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
