Basketball Recap: Berkeley Prep's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Berkeley Prep won the last time they faced Clearwater and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers walked away with a 46-36 win over the Clearwater Tornadoes. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keshawn Andrews and Ari Tirado certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Andrews went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and three steals, while Tirado posted ten points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Berkeley Prep and bumps their season record up to 12-10. As for Clearwater, they dropped their record down to 11-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Berkeley Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-22 win against Seffner Christian on the 30th. As for Clearwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-55 victory against Dunedin on the 29th.
