Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Tuesday.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 5-15-2. As for Pasadena Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Rayburn is set to face off against their familiar foe Shadow Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial will challenge rival Alvin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
