Baseball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry managed to slip by Allen East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Commodores came up short against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 12-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 18, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Hunter Scott put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Wyatt Taviano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.

Perry dropped their record down to 14-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Allen East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Perry nor Allen East have any future games scheduled.
