Volleyball Recap: Stuart Comes Up Short

Stuart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Winside Wildcats. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.

Stuart's offense was headlined by Paityn Sheffield and Klaire Ramm, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Ali Wondercheck and her eight assists. Finally, Kemberlyn Kohle kept Stuart's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Jerzi Carlson, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven contests.

Stuart's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Winside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Stuart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winside, they will head out to take on Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Friday.
