Football Recap: Quaboag Regional Drops Season-High Score on Mahar Regional + How To Watch

Quaboag Regional had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They fell 20-14 to the Mahar Regional Senators. On the bright side, the 14- point performance marked the Cougars' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Mahar Regional, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.5 points over those games.

Leading Mahar Regional to victory were Ronnie James Stone and Danny Quigley. James Stone rushed for 92 yards and one TD, while Quigley picked up 46 receiving yards and one score. Those 92 rushing yards gave James Stone a new career-high.

Coming up, Quaboag Regional will head out to square off against Worcester Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mahar Regional, they will welcome Athol at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Senators' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
