Baseball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

Cimarron-Memorial and Bonanza squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cimarron-Memorial had to settle for second. They lost 16-1 to the Bengals. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Cimarron-Memorial's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Bonanza, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season.

Cimarron-Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonanza, they will take on Legacy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bengals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
