Basketball Game Preview: Bridgewater/Emery Huskies vs. Scotland/Menno Trappers

The Bridgewater/Emery Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Scotland/Menno Trappers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bridgewater/Emery will be strutting in after a win while Scotland/Menno will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Bridgewater/Emery strolled past White River with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Scotland/Menno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 68-51 fall against Gregory. While losing is never fun, the Trappers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Gorillas are ranked 30th).

Bridgewater/Emery will have to contain Ashton Dennis as he made an impact in Scotland/Menno's last game. He went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Sattler, who posted eight points.

Bridgewater/Emery's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Scotland/Menno, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
