Softball Recap: West Seattle Victorious

West Seattle was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out the South Whidbey Falcons 11-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Seattle.

The team relied heavily on Molly Lefkowitz, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marina Strange, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

West Seattle's record is now 4-8. As for South Whidbey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Seattle will host Nathan Hale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Seattle's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for South Whidbey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Granite Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
