Baseball Recap: Belleville Victorious

Belleville can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Highland Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Highland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Belleville will square off against Mineral Point at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pointers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Highland, they will challenge River Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
