Central has gone a perfect 8-0 against Penn Cambria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Dragons will face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Central and Bald Eagle Area have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Dragons lost 7-1 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Kensinger, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Penn Cambria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Somerset. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Eagles since April 17, 2015.

Penn Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Central took their victory against Penn Cambria when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
