Basketball Recap: Port Isabel Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Port Isabel can now relate to. They fell to the Wharton Tigers 57-51.

Jacoryan Dickerson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds for Wharton. Dickerson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 12 times he's played. Jameir Hearne-Robinson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Port Isabel's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Wharton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-11.

As of now, neither Port Isabel nor Wharton have any future games scheduled.
