Recap: Knowledge Academies vs. Smyrna Bulldogs
Even though the Smyrna Bulldogs scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Knowledge Academies still came out on top. Knowledge Academies slipped by Smyrna 57-56. The win made it back-to-back wins for Knowledge Academies.
Despite the loss, Smyrna still got an impressive performance from Tyreque Mccarver, who scored 17 points along with six assists. Jalylle Batey-roberts was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
Knowledge Academies' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-14. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Smyrna, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Knowledge Academies does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smyrna, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against LaVergne at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Smyrna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
