While Atlantic Collegiate Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for James Island, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-8-1.
