Volleyball Recap: Elsie Switzer and Avery Eisen Secure Win for Cherry Creek

Cherry Creek picked up another tournament win on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bayfield Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Cherry Creek was led to victory by Avery Eisen and Elsie Switzer. Eisen had 12 digs and two aces, while Switzer had six digs and four assists. Those 12 digs gave Eisen a new career-high. Harper Mueller also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Cherry Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Bayfield still got an impressive performance from Maeli Quintana, who had 11 digs.

Cherry Creek now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Bayfield, with the defeat, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Cherry Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Cheyenne Mountain on the 1st. As for Bayfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Denver South on the 1st.
