Softball Game Preview: Colman-Egan C-E Hawks vs. Castlewood Warriors

The Colman-Egan C-E Hawks will head out to square off against the Castlewood Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colman-Egan has given up an average of 16.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Colman-Egan is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 19-3 to Sioux Falls Christian.

Kaitlyn Taggart was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. Addison Geigle also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Castlewood never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Redfield on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pheasants a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Colman-Egan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Castlewood, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Colman-Egan couldn't quite get it done against Castlewood in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 9-6. Can the C-E Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
