Logan falls despite strong effort from Makenzie Daubenmire

Recap: Logan Chieftains vs. Notre Dame Titans

The Logan Chieftains's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 36-26 to Notre Dame. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Logan has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Logan still got an impressive performance from Makenzie Daubenmire, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. That's the first time this season that Daubenmire pulled down eight or more rebounds. Mollie Landis was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Logan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Notre Dame's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katie Strickland, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Strickland has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Kirby, who scored six points along with five steals.

Logan has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Notre Dame, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Logan will head out on the road to square off against Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Notre Dame, they will face off against Martin County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Martin County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
