Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Silverdale Academy Seahawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Seahawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-1 loss on Monday.

Notre Dame saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Sullivan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-5.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Silverdale Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will challenge Chattanooga Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverdale Academy, they will welcome Christian Academy of Knoxville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
