Baseball Recap: Guerin Catholic Takes a Loss

Guerin Catholic fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against North Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Tate Troxell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, Carson Kail made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Guerin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for North Central, their record now sits at 11-5.

Looking ahead, Guerin Catholic will welcome Park Tudor at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
