Volleyball Recap: Round Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Round Valley and Rancho Solano Prep squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Round Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Elks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-23.

Round Valley's offense was headlined by Addison Poston and Harli Haws, who picked up nine kills apiece. Poston really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Round Valley's loss dropped their record down to 24-10. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-12 record this season.

Round Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Phoenix Country Day on the 8th.
