It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Canyon Crest Academy Ravens  challenge  Scripps Ranch Falcons at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Canyon Crest Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Canyon Crest Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Liberty Charter on Wednesday. Canyon Crest Academy put the hurt on Liberty Charter with a sharp  11-1 win. That looming  11-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Ravens yet this  season.

 Alexis McNamee and  Addison Okerberg did most of the damage at the plate:  McNamee  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Okerberg  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Okerberg a new career-high in  RBI (two).  Grace Yao was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  hit department: Canyon Crest Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Charter only managed four  hits.
Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   7-6 W against the Wolverines.
 Kenzie Johnson looked comfortable as she  tossed four innings while giving up  three earned runs off only  two  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Eme Ledbetter was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Griffin, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple and one  run.
 Canyon Crest Academy's record now sits at 8-5-1. As for Scripps Ranch, their record now sits at 5-3.
Friday's   match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon Crest Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Scripps Ranch struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Canyon Crest Academy suffered a grim  12-2 defeat to Scripps Ranch  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024. Can Canyon Crest Academy avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
