Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Iola's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

While Iola put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Richards. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 13-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Iola got a massive performance out of Cooper Cadro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave Cadro a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Roubion, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Iola is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Richards, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.

Iola will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
