Soccer Game Preview: Homestead vs. East Noble

The Homestead Spartans will challenge the East Noble Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Homestead sitting on four straight wins and East Noble on six.

Homestead is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Warsaw a 2-0 shutout. Give Homestead's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, East Noble made easy work of Marion on Wednesday and carried off a 4-0 victory. Considering East Noble have won 13 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Marion with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Peyton Straessle (2), Roman Pita, and Aladean Sawal.

East Noble's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Homestead, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-3.

Everything went Homestead's way against East Noble when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Homestead made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
