Volleyball Recap: Big Walnut Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Big Walnut came into Wednesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past the Westerville Central Warhawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Eagles have posted since April 1st.

Big Walnut was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-107), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 19-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Big Walnut's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jad El Baba, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave El Baba a new career-high.

Big Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Westerville Central, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
