Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Batesville). They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Batesville has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lawrenceburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Batesville will host Columbus East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Olympians have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
