Soccer Game Preview: Scott vs. Riverside

The Scott Skyhawks will face off against the Riverside Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Scott, who comes in off a win.

If Riverside heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Scott took over last week. The Skyhawks won by a goal and slipped past Lincoln County 2-1. The game was the first time Scott have beaten Lincoln County on their pitch since October 5, 2019.

Meanwhile, Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Cabell Midland. While losing is never fun, Riverside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Cabell Midland are ranked 11th).

Scott's win bumped their record up to 5-6-2. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.
