Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Siri Veladanda and Macy Hamper Lead Pleasant to Victory

Pleasant won the last time they faced River Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

While Pleasant won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-22.

Pleasant was led to victory by Macy Hamper and Siri Veladanda. Hamper had five digs and two aces, while Veladanda had nine digs. That's the most digs Veladanda has posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, River Valley still got an impressive performance from Arianna Osborne, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Pleasant's record now sits at 2-0. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pleasant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ridgedale on the 23rd. As for River Valley, they will face off against Marion Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
