Lamar dropped their record down to 9-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manitou Springs Mustangs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ayden Hose was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Cael Buxton was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As for Manitou Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

On Manitou Springs' side, the team relied heavily on Hayden Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. The Mustangs are undefeated when Martinez posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. Trafford Havens also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.
