Basketball Recap: East Carter Comes Up Short

East Carter lost against Twin Rivers back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The East Carter Redbirds fell 60-52 to the Twin Rivers Royals. While losing is never fun, the Redbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Royals are ranked 150th).

East Carter has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Twin Rivers, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

East Carter will square off against Bunker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bunker will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something East Carter surely won't give up without a fight. Twin Rivers has already played their next game, a 61-40 victory against Bloomfield on the 30th.
