Carroll County and Radford are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Carroll County Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Radford Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carroll County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Radford likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Carroll County earned a 77-69 win over Glenvar. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Highlanders are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Radford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Floyd County on Monday, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Radford's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Carroll County, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Carroll County took their win against Radford in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 78-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carroll County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
