Baseball Recap: Bishop England Wins Going Away Against Colleton County

After only two runs in their last game, Bishop England made sure to put some runs up on the board against Colleton County on Tuesday. The Battling Bishops blew past the Cougars 11-1. Considering the Battling Bishops' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

WYATT LYNN was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Corley, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

LYNN wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bishop England kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bishop England has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colleton County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11-2.

Bishop England will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
