Recap: Campolindo Cougars vs. Downey Knights
The Campolindo Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Downey on the road to the tune of 59-32. The victory was nothing new for Campolindo as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Dylan Mansour continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rendle, who scored 16 points.
Despite the loss, Downey still got an impressive performance from Collin Eden, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Jayden Coelho was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Campolindo's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Downey, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-6 record last season and are now at 4-9.
Campolindo will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Clovis East at 8:30 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Clovis East is ranked 65th, while Campolindo is ranked 59th). Downey won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Edison at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Edison is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
