Basketball Recap: Mapleton Comes Up Short

Mapleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 84-45 defeat at the hands of the Crestview Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-38 back in December of 2025.

Mapleton's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Crestview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mapleton and Northwestern will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Crestview, they will square off against South Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
