Centerville got themselves on the board against Northmont on Friday, but Northmont never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 31-0 victory over the Thunderbolts. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Elks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 371st).

Centerville's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Northmont, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerville will face off against Springboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Elks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Northmont, they will square off against Miamisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
